What a yummy recipe, and quite simple too. A fairly standard Hummingbird cake but with some lovely pears poached in honey. The sponge is so moist too - a winner!

Again - a special mention to my lovely dad Graham for providing his homemade honey from his bees in the garden for this recipe... There's a piece in my fridge for you Popsicle!!

A lovely, simple loaf. Nothing too fancy but as a massive cinnamon fan I loved it. Perfect for a snowy afternoon with a cup of tea :-)

And really easy to make - I managed to do it whilst wearing my baby in her Baby Bjorn!!

Tried it... didn't love it!

They're not as random as they sound - I love carrot cake and also liked the courgette cake I made from the Hummingbird book a few months back. But to be honest the beetroot doesn't add anything to a normal chocolate cupcake, apart from the cream cheese frosting!

So - can tick it off the list but won't be making them again!
